Ledger Desktop Troubleshooting

Quick fixes for device detection, sync errors, and crashes.

Device Not Detected

  • Try another USB cable (must be data-capable) and different port.
  • Unlock the device (enter PIN) before opening Ledger Live.
  • Restart Ledger Live and your computer if needed.

Sync / Balance Issues

  • Ensure your Ledger Live is up to date and your internet connection is stable.
  • Refresh the accounts or re-add the account if balances look incorrect.
  • Check blockchain explorers for pending transactions if amounts are missing.

App Crashes / Freezes

  • Reinstall Ledger Live after backing up necessary details; keep your seed safe offline.
